NEW JCB TELEHANDLER SAVES TIME AND MONEY

Thursday, November 30, 2017

JCB Construction Equipment Australia (CEA) has added the 540-180 Hi-Viz to its telehandler range. The new model promises reduced cost of ownership and improved efficiency.

The 540-180 Hi-Viz offers 20 per cent faster cycle times and over four per cent saving on fuel consumption. According to Anthony Lockwood, JCBCEA National Product Manager for Material Handlers, class-leading productivity can be expected from this new JCB telehandler.

“The 540-180 Hi-Viz is designed to make the most efficient use of owner/operator time and money. The machines are designed to ensure the maximum possible return on investment, with great fuel efficiency and low running costs, thanks to the innovative technology used in the telehandler range,” Anthony says.

“One of the key features of this telehandler is its regenerative hydraulic system, which uses gravitational force and diverts oil back to the rams while the arm is lowering. This leads to fast cycle times and fuel savings.”

The 540-180 Hi-Viz also offers increased visibility and operator safety, plus improvements to the machine’s lift height and forward reach.

“This Loadall machine boasts an impressive 18m lift height and 4000kg lift capacity, which is unrivalled in the market. The compact design and versatility of the JCB Loadall range means they can take place of other machines on the work site, such as a mobile crane, skid steer, wheel loader or forklift,” Anthony says.

The 540-180 Hi-Viz also comes fitted with the 55kW/74hp JCB EcoMAX engine, which uses about 14 per cent less fuel than other models in the range.

“The JCB EcoMAX engine doesn’t use a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), so there’s no loss of productivity during the regeneration process, nor the extra expense of replacing a DPF.”

The 540-180 Hi-Viz is also one of the safest telehandlers on the market. JCB’s patented load control system and sway frames allow for a safe and more stable load placement, while hose burst check valves protect the driver and bystanders in the event of hose failure.

“The addition of the 540-180 Hi-Viz to our Loadall range represents the latest in JCB technology and innovation, while still built with purpose and the operator front of mind,” Anthony says.
