This backhoe is designed to give you big performance in small areas, it’s perfect for urban working and restricted construction sites. A tight turning circle and switchable steering modes allow it to work in a single carriageway with minimum disruption and maximum productivity. Ease of use, controllability and legendary JCB build quality is also standard on the 3CX Compact backhoe loader.
JCB pioneered the backhoe loader concept in 1953, introducing many innovative features to the market. And, in a rapidly changing world, our new 3CX Compact backhoe loader represents the latest in backhoe innovation.
Switchable 2WS/4WS allows operators to travel safely on highways and then easily change steer mode to give manoeuvrability on site.
A three-speed 40km/h hydrostatic transmission makes the 3CX mini loader an incredibly independent backhoe with a large working radius for optimum productivity; this means that you’re not reliant on other equipment to transport your machine.
This tool carrier is powered by a high torque 55kW (74hp) JCB by Kohler engine that requires no after-treatment, keeping servicing costs and downtime to a minimum.
Compared to a standard JCB backhoe, the turning circle of a 3CX compact backhoe is 16% tighter; in fact, at just 5.8m (with applied brakes), you can U-turn the machine on most single carriageway roads.
The 3CX mini loader is not only designed for the full range of backhoe loader attachments. It also has the ability to pick up a wide range of skid steer loader attachments. Bi-directional pipework and a handheld tool circuit provide even greater versatility. This versatile one machine solution can carry out road repair, utilities, municipalities and groundworks task with ease. Its 6-tonne weight, 4-wheel steer and rubber tyres, meanwhile, allow it to drive over freshly laid asphalt, which makes it perfect for road resurfacing too.
The JCB 3CX Compact backhoe is so versatile that it can do the work of various other machines, including dumpers, compact wheeled loaders, mini excavators, forklifts and motorised sweepers. This, of course, can save you time and money.
You can carry out everything from fork work to moving material, digging footings, lifting mortar tubs, site stripping, sweeping and site cleaning.
With a 40km/h road speed, travelling to and around any site is quick with this backhoe, increasing productivity.
For added flexibility, there’s an optional handheld tool circuit built in that can power a huge array of attachments, such as water pumps, disc cutters, augers, hand breakers and much more.
Three-speed controls allow the correct speed to be selected simply at the touch of a button on the JCB 3CX Compact backhoe loader.
Excavator-style controls are fitted as standard, providing ease of use and controllability.
A fully adjustable air-suspension seat provides fatigue free all-day operation for your backhoe operators.
During roading and loading, the 3CX Compact mini loader’s front dash-mounted display provides all the information you need.
The 12V auxiliary circuit powers useful accessories, such as mobile phones.
For ultimate customisation on your backhoe loader, choose our optional SAE+/ISO+ control pattern switch.
We’ve used only proven reliable components on the JCB 3CX mini loader to maximise uptime and ensure that your machine spends as much time as possible earning you money.
A 40km/h road speed eliminates the need to hire or purchase a lorry to transport your backhoe loader.
You can expect a high specification at a competitive price, providing you with maximum value for money. A full range of attachments increase versatility and allow for greater rental return.
LiveLink is standard, enabling you to monitor how your backhoe is used, its fuel consumption and its location.
JCB backhoe loaders have become a global currency, due to their enviable reputation for both quality and high residual values.
